About the artist

Colin Robertson studied painting and drawing at Edinburgh Art College and has been working predominantly as a landscape artist. His work has been exhibited across Scotland, reflecting the pleasure he finds in the silence of wilderness, observing the circumstance of the weather in all its diversity. Colin’s preference for the light of early morning and evening demonstrates a quiet contemplation which is reflected in much of his work. He is passionate to explore and develop his relationship with light and translate his experience into his future work.

Colin has been commissioned to create many paintings and they are held in many private and business collections. He works mostly with acrylic and alkyd, mediums which enhance his sympathetic approach to his subjects.
